LAURA BRUTON PSYCHOTHERAPY AND COUNSELLING
A BIT ABOUT THERAPY
How Therapy can Help
Sometimes we get stuck in familliar yet difficult situations, patterns of thinking and behaviour which can feel hard to get out of.
Sometimes life takes us by surprise and we experience things that feel barely tolerable.
Therapy provides a space to consider these situations and challenges and to consider choices and come up with strategies.
As a therapist working alongside my clients I aim to provide a supportive and non-judgemental relationship that can help process difficulty and allow you to become more connected to your inner self.
As an experienced psychotherapist I provide a range of services to individuals and couples. I specialise in working outdoors in the grounds of Kiplin Hall, North Yorkshire. This environment, with it's lake, woodland and gardens offers a range of spaces to explore and connect with nature as part of your therapy journey.
For couples or people who feel working outdoors is not for them, I also offer online therapy via a secure video conferencing platform.
Taking therapy outdoors opens up a whole world of possibilities.
Connection to the natural world brings a innate sense of wellbeing. Exploring outside alongside an experienced therapist to guide you through your inner landscape will help you to make sense of your experiences and allow you to grow to be the person you want to be.
People seek therapy for a range of reasons. Maybe you want to manage overwhelming feelings, to process a difficult life experience or to feel more connected to your self and have a clearer sense of your direction in life.
Working online is a convinient and accessible option for many people. I offer 50 minute sessions to individuals and couples who want short or long term therapy.
